Urban Office Building to Lux Living Conversion
Once a mid-century office building in Ottawa’s Centretown, 331 Cooper Street has been thoughtfully transformed into The Cooper, a 45-unit residential tower that exemplifies adaptive reuse in the heart of the city. This project reimagines a 29,400-square-foot structure into modern living spaces, aligning with Ottawa’s goals for increased downtown density and revitalization.
Distinguishing Features: The design preserves the building's industrial character while introducing warm, sophisticated interiors. Clean, marble-inspired surfaces are paired with natural wood accents and curated feature lighting to establish a serene and inviting ambiance throughout. Neutral tones and upscale materials offer residents a calm, minimalist aesthetic that’s both modern and timeless.
Beyond the private residences, the building amenities include a suite of thoughtfully designed amenity spaces. A rooftop lounge offers sweeping city views and a stylish setting for relaxation or gatherings. A fully equipped fitness centre and a contemporary, hospitality-inspired lobby further enhance the experience, blending form and function in all the right ways. These shared areas encourage community while providing comfortable spaces for everyday living
